“If couture is my profession, then perfume is my luxury!” – Guy Laroche
Guy Laroche was born in La Rochelle, France, in 1921 and began his career as a fashion designer in Paris. He initially worked for various fashion houses before launching his own brand under the same name in 1957.
In the early years, Guy Laroche concentrated primarily on women’s fashion, especially haute couture. His reputation as a designer grew through his combination of sophistication, feminine elegance and modern, often avant-garde elements. The brand became internationally renowned in the 1960s, when Laroche also presented his collections in the USA and other countries. From that moment on, Guy Laroche was known for his finely tuned, feminine designs, which reflected a mixture of traditional couture and modern, experimental ideas.
Finally, in 1966, the designer presented his first fragrance for women, which became an international bestseller and is still one of the most luxurious and renowned perfumes today. His fragrances are symbols of power and timeless elegance.

Guy Laroche perfumes are characterized by their classic elegance and cover a broad spectrum of fragrances. While Fidji and Drakkar Noir are among the iconic fragrances, the house has also developed more modern creations that reflect the spirit of the times.
Drakkar Noir is a bold, aromatic fougère for a strong man with a natural, seductive allure. The fragrance opens with fresh notes of lemon and mandarin, mixed with spices, coriander and juniper. The warm, herbaceous tones of basil and rosemary form the heart, while cedarwood and vetiver provide the sensual finish.
In contrast, Fidji Eau de Toilette pays homage to the magic of the Orient with dream landscapes of exotic, faraway islands. Fresh waves of lemon and bergamot enhance the note of galbanum. A heart of jasmine and iris evokes the scent of salty air that delicately caresses the flowers of the island. A fragrance with sensuality, enriched by a deep, seductive base of woody santal and vetiver.
